Technical Notes

This site was tested on IE 5.2, Safari 1.2.2, Netscape Navigator 7.1 and Opera 6.03 for Macintosh, and IE 6.0 for Windows. Please report any strange anomalies you may encounter on these or other browsers by contacting me here.

Regarding Media

The MP3 files on this site were encoded at 160 kbs to ensure optimum sound quality (since nothing is more important :-) As a result, the site is not too dial-up friendly. You are welcome to download the MP3s and listen to them whenever you like.

To view the scores on this site, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader. When viewing on-screen, all scores created before 2003 look best in Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.1. Due to a technical issue that's too difficult to explain here, they do not look so great in Acrobat 6.0, although they are certainly legible. There is no difference between the two when printing.

When viewing on-screen in Acrobat 5.1, make sure the "Smooth Text and Line Art" option is on in the preferences panel. Otherwise, scores will look rough and jagged. This option is "always on" in Acrobat 6.0

Click on the links below to get Acrobat if you don't have it already...

Regarding Artwork

Hugo Ortega made the artwork on the pages for Vortices, Chamber Concerto, and Synchromesh Synergy. All other images are either stock photographs or images that I've conjured up myself.
