Program Notes I created these pieces in the electronic music studio at Carnegie Mellon in 1995. They were the first "abstract" pieces I had ever made up until that point, and in that sense they were kind of important for me. Making them was the first time I ever really began to think about music as "sound," as opposed to "notes and chords." It would be another couple of years before those ideas began to make their way into my written music...
